A Decade since Dzenan Memic was killed

It has been a decade since the young man Dženan Memic in the Sarajevo settlement of Ilidža suffered severe injuries from which he subsequently died.

In the previous ten years, the death of Dženan Memic was the cause of mass protests by which family, friends and citizens sought the truth about the motives, causes and perpetrators of the murder of the then twenty-one-year-old young man. This case was followed by a series of court processes and reversals in which police officers, judges and prosecutors were accused and called out, among others.

On the occasion of the anniversary of his death, the family of the deceased Dženan Memic stated that they are still disappointed in the judicial system of the country, but also that they will not give up searching for the truth.

Protests have been announced for the spring in front of the OHR.
