Ademir Jakubovic: There is too much Negativity in the Media

ademirjakubovicAdemir Jakubovic, a journalist of Radio Antena Sarajevo, commented on the social daily life, daily news, current events…

”I started working on television as a presenter of children’s shows, I grew up there, and in the meantime I started working on the radio as well. Parallels? Today both media are fast. The radio needs a little more effort because we can be only heard. But both of them have their charms,” said Ademir Jakubovic.

” I’m sad that there is no more shows like that. Because children are growing up with the Internet and phones nowadays. Snow falls, and the children are not throwing snowballs. I’m sorry for that, but I hope they will find someone who will change it,” he added.

On safety in schools and education of children…

” Parents have reason to be concerned, although there is no single ”official” case yet. We quickly overcame the case of ”the white van”. We should be talking about these problems on a daily basis. I think that children are scared and a lot of situations can be misunderstood. I think we need to step up patrols near schools. There is a chain of problems surrounding the school and it certainly should be addressed preventively. We’re not the only ones where this happens, but parents need to talk with their children, to be opened about it. The children have everything available on the Internet, they watch series, and a variety of activities that are not suitable for their age. Children have children.”

Good Topics from the Covers!

” I’d put some nice and positive topics on the cover. There is too much negativity. There is huge potential in BiH, there are young people who are doing good things. I think tourism will be more and more developed. Athletes have brought us the most happiness but yet we get disappointed by their failures so quickly. When they make the worst result, people attack them, no matter what. We can still win the world championship. Considering the amount of money invested, we can say that we are the champions in everything, ” concluded Jakubovic.
