Last week the process of afforestation started on Fortica hill near Mostar, which is actually the process of reforestation, because the forest existed there years ago.

The investor is ”Gradsko područje Stari Grad” and ”Komos” will work on the process of afforestation. So far, 500 seedlings of pine and cypress have been planted, and 1500 more are planned this week.

Besides the aesthetic effect, the reforestation of this part of the high zone of Mostar will stop soil erosion, which began to emerge due to deforestation and post-war construction in this part of town.
