In February BiH and Croatia will have a ministerial meeting, and afterwards they will sign an agreement about the border crossings, free passage of goods, and corridor through Neum and Ploče port, said the Chairman of Commission for Integrated Border Management of BiH Miro Džakula to FENA, and added that there will be no new meetings before February.
In late December 2012, the agreement was confirmed at a meeting in Brussels, which was also attended by representatives of the European Union.
“Practically the technical part is over. We have submitted a request that citizens of BiH can enter Croatia with only their IDs and Croatia informed the European Commission, and it is very likely that BiH citizens will not need passports to enter Croatia’’, said Džakula
He recalled that the state commission made an agreement with their Croatian colleagues about the Ploče port, and about the smooth passage from Croatia through Neum and about the over border traffic.
“Therefore, we are satisfied with what we‘ve achieved, and now we need to finalize the signing of the agreement. For additional involvement in the preparation of the aforementioned agreement none of the members of the state commission who participated in this work did not receive a penny,” said Džakula.
