SNSD party leader Milorad Dodik said that the partners in government at the state level agreed that today at the session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament (PSBiH) the laws on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HCPC), the ombudsman and on access to information will be confirmed, as well as to be the elected Minister of Finance of Bosnia and Herzegovina and confirmed the election of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers.

Dodik said that they agreed that tomorrow at the session of the Council of Ministers, the law on the court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the amendments and additions, as well as the laws on wine and on foreigners, will be reviewed and confirmed, as well as the laws on wine and on foreigners and instructions to the House of Representatives, which will confirm it in the next ten days.

“All this will be confirmed at the session of the House of Peoples on August 30. We agreed and agreed on that, and I believe it will be completed as we agreed,” said Dodik.

He stated that in this way the European agenda is being unblocked and that Bosnia and Herzegovina will be ready to receive negotiation status by the new year and that it is moving towards European integration in this regard.

“That is the goal of this group of people,” Dodik told reporters after a meeting of representatives of the ruling parties at the BiH level in East Sarajevo.

The President of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, stated that today’s agreement is a confirmation that this parliamentary majority wants to work in good faith to fulfill the conditions for EU membership.

“I am sure that our partners from Brussels will recognize this and that in the coming period we will have momentum on the European road,” emphasized Nikšić.

The President of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović expressed the expectation that three main laws could be adopted by the end of the month and that the new opinion of the European Commission on the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be positive.

The Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, submitted a proposal for the appointment of Srđan Amidžić as Minister of Finance and Treasury to the parliamentary procedure yesterday.

According to an earlier political agreement, this position belongs to SNSD and Republika Srpska, Srna reports.
