Airport Mostar to start Cooperation with Turkish Airlines?

The Management of Airport Mostar, led by Director Marin Raspudic, met with representatives of federal and cantonal authorities, and they discussed the following steps in the development of this institution.

“We already have Eurowings and Croatia Airlines, and we started negotiations with Turkish Airlines. However, we would not be able to realize all of that without the help of the Government of the FBiH, the canton and the city of Mostar. This year is crucial for the development of Mostar Airport,” noted Raspudic, and he added that the arrival of these airlines will attract the other ones as well.

“We have improved our infrastructure in this period, mainly through the increase of the capacity of reference platforms. We improved the entire series, and our capacity now is three referent planes. We also procured new equipment,” said Ibrica Berberovic.

Edin Music expressed his satisfaction with the efforts that the Mostar Airport invested with the aim to move from the level of charter flights to the level of regular traffic.

“These requests are very serious. We acknowledged the need for development of this important institution 3 years ago, and now we are very close to fulfil these strict requests. We are also working on the animation of new airlines and new destinations that should be connected with Mostar. We talked with the new consul of the Republic of Turkey and their ambassador, and we are hoping for a happy ending,” said Music.

Music further noted the importance of Mostar Airport and its connection to Corridor 5C, which will pass near the airport.
