Aleksandar Macan, who is charged with killing two Sarajevo police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović in 2018 in Alipašino Polje, surrendered after being on the run for more than a month, the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office confirmed for FENA.

Macan surrendered to the SC Prosecutor’s Office, after which he was arrested by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), who handed him over to the Sarajevo Court, where he was remanded in custody.

A red Interpol warrant was issued for Aleksandar Macan from Pale. At the beginning of November, members of SIPA conducted searches at six locations in the area of East Sarajevo and Pale, and officers of the SC MoI, RS MoI and the Intelligence and Security Agency also took part in the action, under the supervision of the SC Prosecutor’s Office.
