Aleksandra SamardžićYoung Bosnian judo representative Aleksandra Samardžić achieved a great success by winning the silver medal at the Youth Olimpic Games in the Chinese town Nanjing.

Aleksandra placed herself in the finals by defeating her opponents from Spain and France in the category up to 78 kilograms.

Her medal represents a great success for the B&H sport and represents an encouragement to young generations to follow her example.

The B&H Olimpic Committee, although not using the budget, has, with no help from the countries authorities, ensured the money for all preparations and the participation at the qualification competition and is very proud of all success and medals young Bosnian sportsman achieve at the Youth Olimpic Games.

This is the third medal for B&H at the YOG up to now: in 2010, in Singapore, Damir Džumhur (tennis) and Eldin Omerović (judo) won bronze medals at this highly prestigious sports competition.
