All Students attending Elementary School in Banja Luka have been tested for Coronavirus

Republika Srpska entity (RS) Health Minister Alen Seranic confirmed on Thursday evening that 26 students and 12 teachers at the Branko Copic Elementary School in Banja Luka have been tested for the coronavirus and that all findings are negative.

They will remain in isolation for the next 14 days because one student was infected with the virus and he was attending this school, which is why testing of schoolmates and teachers with whom he has been in direct contact.

Seranic recalled that the disinfection of the Branko Copic Elementary School facility was completed, with no classes until March 9. The health status of a man from Banja Luka and his son, the first to be infected with the corona virus, is stable for now, and their condition is still being monitored and they are in a hospital in Banja Luka. The wife and mother of the infected persons is also in home isolation.

Seranic stated that the World Health Organization technical assistance representative was also expected to be in Bosnia-Herzegovina tomorrow, and again urged citizens to comply with health recommendations.

An infected middle-aged man has returned from Italy, where he worked, and is the first confirmed case of a virus infection in BiH, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.
