Almir Halilovic from Zenica, who lives in German city of Viernheim, was one of the hostages of armed man who opened the fire in the cinema complex in this city. Halilovic managed to escape from the room where he kept hostage.
He said that at the time of the shooting he was in the toilet within the cinema complex.
“From the toilet cabin came a man who told me to lie down on the floor. He was standing behind me, holding automatic gun AK-47,” said Halilovic.
He said that the armed man approached the workers of the complex asking them to lock the doors in the cinema complex.
“At that moment, I was moving towards the doors and he noticed it. He spoke to me saying that if I repeat it again, I will be dead,” said Halilovic.
Soon after that, the attacker, according to Halilovic, made all the people who were in the hall to go to the cinema hall.
“He approached the woman who works at the register and I took the opportunity and ran out of the cinema. I heard after that he shot four times,” said Halilovic, adding that the police questioned him immediately after he escaped.
To recall, armed man who was killed by police in the German town of Viernheim, had a bomb and he was wearing a belt with explosives, as reported by Bild.
The bomb was found by police after the shooting in the cinema in the western part of the country, in which the armed and masked gunman entered about 3 pm. Witnesses said that a man was between 18 and 25 years old and that he spoke “poor German language”.
