Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, congratulated the BiH Handball Team who has qualified for the World Cup next year in Qatar.
Ambassador Sorensen said:
“I send my warmest congratulations to the national team and their manager Dragan Markovic on this fantastic achievement. The team spirit and persistence shown during qualifications were crowned yesterday when Bosnia and Herzegovina qualified for the World Cup. Iceland is a good team who won silver at the Olympics in 2008 and bronze at the European Championship in 2010, but that did not stop the ‘BiH Dragons’. They have richly deserved their place in Qatar and I wish them the very best of luck.”
