Ambassadors of EU Member States to the European Union’s Political and Security Committee (PSC), headed by PSC Chairman Sofie From-Emmesberger, will meet with  Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic, Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Affairs Mirko Sarovic, Justice Minister Josip Grubesa and Minister of Security Dragan Mektic.

During their official visit, the PSC Ambassadors will meet with representatives of the BiH authorities, civil society, COMEUFOR, international organizations, as well as representatives of the business community and start-up companies here.

The members are responsible for the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CSFP) and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). In general, they monitor the international situation, recommend the strategic approaches and policy options to the Council, provide guidance to the Military Committee, the Politico-Military Group and the Committee for Civilian Aspects of Crisis Management and ensure political control and strategic direction of crisis management operations.

The PSC is composed of member states’ ambassadors based in Brussels and is chaired by the representatives from the European External Action Service. It meets twice a week, and more often if necessary.

PSC’s last meeting in BiH was held in 2014.
