The non-resident Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Georgia, based in Ankara, Mirsada Čolaković, presented her letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, at a ceremonial ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.
With this act, Ambassador Čolaković officially assumed the duties of the non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Georgia.
At the ceremony held on that occasion, President Kavelashvili wished Ambassador Čolaković a successful mandate and warmly congratulated her on her appointment, expressing his welcome on behalf of Georgia.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia were discussed, and both sides expressed interest in improving cooperation in all areas, especially in the economic and cultural fields.
Ambassador Čolaković thanked for the warm welcome and attention, and informed about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She emphasized Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to deepening friendly relations with Georgia and the importance of continued cooperation in areas of mutual interest, while exchanging views on the European path and Euro-Atlantic integration between the two countries.
During her stay in Georgia, Ambassador Čolaković also met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Make Bochorishvili. During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of improving cooperation on Euro-Atlantic integration and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and art.
