Analysis: Coverage of Import by Export 53.9 Percent in Eight Months

carinaIn the period January-August 2014, BiH export amounted to 5 billion 610 million BAM, which is 0,5% higher than in the same period of 2013.

Import amounted to 10 billion 404 million BAM, which is 5,6% higher than in the same period last year, Agency for Statistics of BiH said.

The coverage of import by export was 53,9% and foreign trade in goods deficit amounted to 4 billion 795 million BAM.

Export to CEFTA countries amounted to 841 million BAM, which is 1,8% lower than in the same period of 2013, while import amounted to 1 billion 160 million BAM, which is 10,6% higher than in the same period of last year.

The coverage of import by export was 72,5%.

Export to EU countries amounted to 4 billion 119 million BAM, which is 0,7% lower than in the same period of 2013, while import amounted to 6 billion 243 million BAM, which is 4,2% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 66%.
