Analysis: number of Persons employed and Earnings in January 2017

workersIn January 2017, the number of persons in paid employment in BiH amounted to 749.566, out of which there were 310.828 women. As compared to December 2016, the number of persons in paid employment increase by 1,6% and the number of employed women increase by 1,8%. The number of registered unemployed persons in January 2017 compared to December 2016 increase by 0,4% and the number of unemployed women also increase by 0,1%.

In January 2017, the average monthly gross earning per person in employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 1.312 KM, which represented the nominal decrease of 1% as compared to December 2016. In comparison to January 2016 the average monthly gross earnings for the January 2017 was nominally by 2% higher.

In January 2017, the average monthly net earning per person in employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 846 KM, which represented the nominal decrease of 0,8% as compared to December 2016. In comparison to January 2016 the average monthly net earnings for the January 2017 was nominally by 2% higher.
