Four municipalities in Sarajevo are voting for new mayors and councilors today.

In constituency 139A Novo Sarajevo, 18,464 voters or 27.46 percent voted by 3 p.m. The total number of registered voters is 67,244.

The President of the MEC Jasna Nikšić said that the election process takes place at 101 regular polling stations, there are two mobile teams and one for absentee voting and unconfirmed ballots.

According to her, the voting is going without any problems, except that one isolated case of inappropriate behavior was recorded, which was immediately reported to the competent institutions.
According to the president of the MEC Nevzeta Mulalić, 36,028 voters were registered in the Old Town of Sarajevo, and by 3 p.m. 26.97 percent of them had gone to the local elections.

“We don’t have any major problems, we resolve all ambiguities immediately. We are in a pilot project that involves the use of new technologies in the election process. We have electronic voting at all polling stations, which is taking place as planned,” Mulalić said.

Voter turnout in the Sarajevo municipality of Novi Grad by 3 p.m. was 27.18 percent. The right to vote in local elections in the municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo has 116,905 citizens registered in the single voter list.

In the municipality of Centar Sarajevo, the turnout for local elections by 3 pm was 26.41 percent, and 59,230 voters were registered.

Even though Ilidža does not belong to the four city municipalities, 27 percent of voters went out in the territory of the municipality of Ilidža by 3 p.m., and there are 68,291 people in the single voter list.
