Analysis: UEFA World Cup qualifying draw live updates

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team has learned its opponents in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in Canada, the USA and Mexico.

According to the draw, which was held in Zurich, Switzerland, the BiH team will play in qualifying group H, together with the teams of Austria, Romania, Cyprus and San Marino.

Group A: winner Germany/Italy, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Luxembourg

Group B: Switzerland, Sweden, Slovenia, Kosovo

Group C: losers Portugal/Denmark, Greece, Scotland, Belarus

Group D: winner France/Croatia, Ukraine, Iceland, Azerbaijan

Group E: winner Spain/Netherlands, Turkey, Georgia, Bulgaria

Group F: winner Portugal/Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Armenia

Group G: losers Spain/Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Malta

Group H: Austria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, San Marino

Group I: defeated Germany/Italy, Norway, Israel, Estonia, Moldova

Group J: Belgium, Wales, S. Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein

Group K: England, Serbia, Albania, Latvia, Andorra

Group L: defeated France/Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar

The group winners will earn a direct place in the World Cup, while the second-placed teams will play in a play-off.

After FIFA decided to expand the number of participants, as many as 36 national teams will compete for the title of the best team in the world.
