In the evening of May 7, 1995, a helicopter with 19 passengers took off from the Višća heliport near Živinica for Žepa. 12 passengers set off on a journey of no return, and even 28 years later, the exact cause of the helicopter crash has not been determined.

Four doctors from Tuzla traveled to Srebrenica, who voluntarily accepted the call to help the people of Srebrenica: dr. Sead Halilović, Ph.D. Muharem Deljković, Ph.D. Husein Halilović and others. Dževad Džananović.

Commander of the 285th Mountain Brigade Avdo Palić and Major Dževa Brgulja, with a group of fighters, were waiting for the helicopter at the Igrišnik heliport on Žepska mountain, where the landing site was marked with fire.

However, the helicopter went down near where it was supposed to land. Twelve crew members died, including pilots Džemil Malkić and Enver Čokić, flight technician Izet Džambic, doctors dr. Sead Halilović, Ph.D. Muharem Deljković and others. Husein Halilović.

Passengers Nurudin Mustafić, Hasan Homarac, Avdo Mirvić, Selman Karić, Sabrija Ćesko and Hasiba Salihović also lost their lives.

Other passengers were seriously and lightly injured: Ramiz Bećirović, Ejub Golić, Hamed Malić, Mehmed Malić, Samir Karić, dr. Dževad Džananović, Dževad Džebo, Ramo Čardaković, Numo Krluč and one-year-old Emir Salihović.

After the crash of this helicopter, the air bridge to Žepa and Srebrenica was suspended, and this later affected the fate of the eastern enclaves.

No marks were found on the wreckage of the helicopter that would indicate that the helicopter was brought down by a firearm. The report states that the cause of the helicopter crash is undetermined.
