ArcelorMittal Zenica

The company ArcelorMittal Zenica invests huge efforts for creating a long-term sustainable future of steel production in Zenica and is of a great importance for the economy of the entire society.

Related to this, the company invested around 90 million BAM in environmental projects and technological improvements, with the same goal. An environmental project dubbed “secondary dusting” at the BOF steel plant worth 11 million BAM, and construction works will start in these days.

“The company ArcelorMittal has a regular and very transparent communication with the local community, as well as with local communities that are located in the neighborhood of the company. In our communication, we informed representatives of local communities several times on all steps that we are making towards the reduction of emissions from our facilities, about phases of certain projects that are currently being realized in the Company and about our very concrete plans. We presented technical details and all effects that our projects already achieved or will achieve when their implementation is done, and the necessary time for its implementation“, said Dijana Bozic-Srdanovic, Communication Manager of ArcelorMittal Zenica.

They are emphasizing from this company that there is no need for protests that “can negatively affect the realization of current projects, which will not be of benefit neither for the local community, nor for the Company“.
