At least four people were killed and at least seven were injured in a shooting at a religious school in the US state of Wisconsin.

According to police, the attack took place in the morning hours at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, the capital of Wisconsin.

Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes announced that four people were killed and at least seven others were injured.

Noting that the suspect in the attack was a student at the school and that police found him dead inside the school, Barnes stressed that police did not fire their weapons when they intervened.

Police have taken extensive security measures in the area and closed many roads to traffic.

This elementary school is attended by about 390 students.

The White House announced that US President Joe Biden was also informed about this incident, AA writes.
