The Armed Forces of BiH are now richer for 67 young Officers

At the ceremony, which was organized on December 6th  2017, at the Home of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), a solemn oath was held for the IV class of young civil officers who successfully completed the basic officer training, and who will initially act as a sub-lieutenant in early 2018, sign their first professional contract and join military service of the Armed Forces of BiH.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense of BiH – Marina Pendes, the Chief of the Joint Staff of Armed Forces of BiH – Lieutenant General Anto Jelec, Deputy Chiefs of General Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH – Major General Mirko Tepsic and Major General Senad Masovic, Commander of the NATO Staff in Sarajevo – Robert Huston, Generals of the Armed Forces of BiH, Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command Brigadier Ilija Petrovic, representatives of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Embassy in BiH, Parliamentary Military Commissioner Bosko Siljegovic, EUFOR Representatives in BiH, High Officials of the Defense Ministry and Armed Forces of BiH, Military Diplomatic representatives that are accredited in BiH and family members of the Armed Forces of BiH Officers.

After the third class of officials was accepted from the civilian office, a year ago, this is the fourth time that the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH  from their own capacities, but with the help of the United Kingdom Embassy of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the NATO Staff in Sarajevo, choose, educate and train young, highly educated personnel who become the part of professional military service and initially act as a sub-lieutenant in the Armed Forces of BiH.

The solemn oath was passed yesterday by eight girls and 59 young men, who will, together with other members of Armed Forces of BiH, represent the backbone of the professionalism and success of the Armed Forces of BiH, in the upcoming period.

Minister of Defense of BiH – Marina Pendes said during her speech that they are now in the service of the state of BiH and its citizens, and that their primary task is to successfully respond to all challenges and tasks within the Mission of the Armed Forces of BiH.
