Army, EUFOR and Hunters Clean Bosanski Šamac Today

šamacThe cleaning action of the city continues today in Bosanski Šamac. B&H Army Forces, representatives of EUFOR from USA and Scotland and citizens with tractors are participating in this action.

Deputy Mayor of Municipality Šamac Milan Nikolić hopes that the cleaning of the city will be finalized during the weekend and he added that would be helpful to have more tractors.

President of the Hunter’s Association “Fazan” Mirko Lukić pointed out that this association in this difficult situation has putted efforts since the first day of floods to help evacuation of citizens, to distribute food and then on the rehabilitation of the areas.

He stated that members of “Fazan” have prepared hunting lunch for all the volunteers and citizens of Šamac.

Lukić added that this association has 400 hunters, of which 140 directly affected by floods but they have been assisting population of Šamac and surroundings in accordance with possibilities and tools available.
