1013770_616704175090335_2010255546_nThe project ‘Zenica Horizons’ of the Association for Development and Support to Mountaineering and Sports Tourism ‘Vedro’ from Zenica carried out yesterday the first mountain walk from the west towards the center of Zenica.

The first stage as part of the project ‘Zenica Horizons’ consisted of a length of 15 km, from the west, and 91 participants ended the first stage at the Zenica hill Zmajevac, after which they descended to the village Ravan.

According to spokesperson of ‘Vedro’ Afana Abazović, many of the participants had the opportunity to see for the first time a panorama of several villages, and a group photograph was taken at the final destination with a view of Zenica.

‘’Participants said that the first route was beautiful and that our project is to be applauded given that until now no one has done something similar. For us it was a great honor to take part in this, the first of four. We have in front of us three more stages of touring Zenica from the direction of the east, north and south, where we expect an even bigger turnout of citizens’’, said Abazović.

As part of the action of collecting bottle caps, participants at yesterday’s campaign collected 403 plastic caps that they will donate for the process of obtaining a wheelchair.

The Association ‘Vedro’ calls on all those who are interested to take part in the second stage ‘South’, of the project ‘Zenica Horizons’, which will be carried out on 30 March. More information can be found on their Facebook page ‘Vedro’.
