There have been around 2,000 fewer employees in trade in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) since Sunday was introduced as a non-working day in that sector.
The number of employees in the retail trade sector, excluding motor vehicle and motorcycle trade, as of November 30 last year in the FBiH was 62,449, according to data from the FBiH Ministry of Finance.
On December 31, there were 62,190 employees in trade, in January 61,598, in February 61,071, and on March 31, there were 60,513 employees.
The data, published by the Chairman of the Committee for Economic and Financial Policy of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Admir Čavalić, show that within four months after Sunday was introduced as a non-working day under the Law on Internal Trade in the FBiH on October 31 last year, the number of employees decreased by almost 2,000.
The non-working Sunday in the FBiH was introduced last year in October, as part of the Law on Internal Trade, Srna writes.
