Around 250,000 Citizens visited Center “Safet Zajko” last Year

Safet ZajkoMunicipal Council of Novi Grad Sarajevo adopted the Report on the operation of the PE Lokom at the meeting that was held on April 25. This company, for the first time since its establishment, achieved more than one million BAM of its own profit last year.

Profit of this company and Veterinary Station, which is operating within it, amounted to 120,000 BAM. The company achieved one million BAM of their own income for the first time, not including the funds that they receive from the Municipality for operations performed in this local community. Revenues from commercial activities, renting of parking space and sports facilities amounted to one million BAM.

Councilors especially praised the work of the Center “Safet Zajko” that has the largest park in the city of Sarajevo, and which is managed by the company Lokom since the end of 2015 and was visited by about 250,000 people during the last year. The park is intended for the entire family, athletes, and pensioners. Besides the variety of facilities that are offered, the park is also fenced and under constant surveillance.

The Council adopted the Decision on acceptance of the Revised Strategy for the Development of the Municipality with the Action Plan of priority projects and measures for the period 2017-2020, as well as the Program for the 21st Novigradski Days of 2017, which will take place from May 30 to July 20, this year, when our citizens will have the opportunity to enjoy in numerous cultural, entertainment, and sporting contents.

The Program of marking important events, dates, and personalities from the period of the Defensive – Liberation War 92-95 and NOR 41-45 in 2017 was adopted as well.

Councilors also received the information on the execution of the budget of the Municipality of Novi Grad for the first quarter of this year, as well as the information on the situation in the primary health care for the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo.
