141002150406asanovicYoung Croatian footballer Antonio Asanović, son of the former Croatian national team’s player Aljoša Asanović, is spending the last few days in the Sarajevo FC Željo.

Asanović played so far for young teams of Hajduk, Pomorac, Corona from Romania while he spent the last season in Dinamo from Bucurest. At Grbavica, he is doing his best to stay in the club led by the coach Admir Adžem and to sign a contract.

As Adžem said it, it’s a fantastic young player who has great qualities as a player and as a person and who would fit just fine in the Željo’s team. In the next few days to come, a decision whether this footballer will sign the contract with the best B&H club will be reached.

Whilst talking to SCsport, Asanović said that he is nicely accepted by all players in Željo and that he would like to stay in the club.

“I had a great welcome in the club. The team has high qualities and its made out of young players so I had no problem fitting in. The coach Admir Adžem has many great players and it’s clear that Željo can do amazing things with this team. I am really satisfied. In the next few days I will be at Grbavica and we’ll see what will happen. Željo is certainly one of the best clubs in the region so I would really like to stay and play for it.” – said Antonio Asanović.
