The Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nerin Dizdar, announced that today there was an attack on a returnee family in Gacko, during which firearms were used.

In a post on his Facebook account, Dizdar also shared photos showing the house that was attacked, as well as a bullet hole in one of the windows.

“I am receiving information about a new attack on returnees, this time in Gacko, with the use of firearms. Another proof that the poisoning of public space by chauvinism and running away from the truth and responsibility once again puts the target on the victims,” Dizdar wrote on Facebook.

Dizdar added that he is asking the entity authorities to urgently find and prosecute those responsible. He emphasized that the Ministry will immediately send its representatives to the scene.

The Entity Ministers of the Interior, Ramo Isak and Goran Karan, are also in constant contact. Karan informed Isak that the RS police officers, together with the acting prosecutor, are actively working to shed light on this event.
