Average Salary in BiH in December amounts to 1,297 BAM

The average monthly paid net salary in legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina for December last year was 1,297 BAM, which shows a nominal drop of 0.5 percent and is actually lower by 0.3 percent compared to November last year.

The average monthly net salary paid for December last year compared to December 2022 is nominally higher by nine percent. For the same period, the real index was higher by 6.6 percent, the BiH Statistics Agency announced.

The highest average net salaries in December last year were those employed in the information and communication industry, in the amount of 1,902 BAM, financial and insurance activities 1,892 BAM, and production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 1,799 BAM.

The lowest average net earnings were workers in the activities of providing accommodation and food preparation and serving, 852 BAM, and in construction, 972 BAM.

The average monthly gross salary per employee in Bosnia and Herzegovina for December 2023 was 2,004 BAM, which shows a nominal drop of 0.4 percent, and in real terms it is lower by 0.2 percent compared to November of that year.

The average monthly gross salary paid for December last year compared to December 2022 was nominally higher by 9.5 percent, while the real index was higher by 7.1 percent.
