Banja Luka faces Water Supply Problems, possible Reductions

About 10 percent of the water supply network in the territory of Banja Luka has supply problems. Due to this problem, Water and Utility will draw up a restructuring plan in the next 10 days, and the possibility of additional charging for excessive water consumption will be discussed with local communities. With a call to citizens for responsible consumption, these are the main conclusions of the session of the Headquarters for Emergency Situations.

“The overall situation is not at a satisfactory level, but the situation has improved in the last 24 hours due to the precipitation we had the previous day,” said city manager Bojan Kresojevic.

He pointed out that at the moment there is regular water supply in over 90% of the territory covered by the Banjaluka Waterworks. Despite this, certain local communities such as Donji Kola and local communities in the Crno Vrelo system have a constant problem.

In local communities where there is no regular supply of water, the problem is overcome by delivering water in cisterns, N1 writes.
