The mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic, stated that he would not pay the members of the parliamentary majority, because they did not come to the session of the city assembly today, whose agenda was supposed to include the Budget Rebalance Proposal, and announced protests on Krajina Square.
Stanivukovic told reporters that the parliamentary majority “obstructed itself, because it did not come to the session it scheduled itself” and stated that it was planned to sit yesterday and today.
“Due to this obstruction, 17 important regulatory plans are awaiting adoption, and 80,000 to 90,000 citizens are waiting for important decisions to be made for them, which were envisaged at this session,” Stanivuković stated.
The mayor of Banja Luka announced that he would organize protests against this situation in the city together with his political partners and non-governmental organizations on Krajina Square.
The President of the Assembly of the City of Banja Luka, Mladen Ilić, said yesterday that the members of the Assembly majority will not come to the session of the City Assembly today, and he called on the mayor for a dialogue in order to create conditions for the session to take place. Ilic said that threats and blackmail were unacceptable and that they could not give results, Klix.ba writes.
