Rehabilitation of the ”Stone house” in the fortress Kastel, was planned for the beginning of this year’s construction season, and afterwards it will become the historical museum of the city.
”Nezavisne novine” said that the 2.5 million EUR of donations from the EU funds were given for the rehabilitation of Stone house, and the exact date of the beginning of works will be defined by the contract.
Spokesman of the Administrative Service of Banja Luka (ASBL) Milenko Šajić said that the works include construction works for the entire unit 9.
Bastion and the south east walls of the fortress will be included in the rehabilitation, and the ”Stone house” will get a new roof and constructive stabilization of the floor and adaptation of the interior for the purpose of museum.
Šajić said that the EU delegation in BiH published a tender for contractor for the rehabilitation of the Kastel fortress, of unit 9- historical museum and east courtyard, as well as for the supervisor of the works.
