Becirovic received Italian Ambassador to BiH Marco Di Ruzza on a Farewell Visit

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović received the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marco Di Ruzza, on a farewell visit, Bećirović’s office announced.

During the conversation, the importance of the official visit of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, to the Republic of Italy in July of this year, at the invitation of the President of Italy, Sergi Mattarella, was highlighted. It was the first official visit to Italy by the Chairman of the BiH Presidency after seventeen years.

Bećirović thanked Ambassador Di Ruzza for very good and constructive cooperation and assessed that his successful diplomatic mission additionally contributed to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Italy. He especially thanked for the support of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, Marco Di Ruzza, reiterated that the goals of Italian diplomacy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, in addition to strengthening bilateral relations, are the promotion of peace and stability and the encouragement of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that Italy strongly supports the democratic processes and reforms that Bosnia and Herzegovina undertakes on the way to full membership in the EU.

The interlocutors agreed that it is very important to continue strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the coming period, especially in the field of economy, given the great potential for additional improvement of economic cooperation, as well as culture, education and many other sectors.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, wished Ambassador Di Ruzza a successful continuation of his diplomatic career.
