[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Belmin Becic is 22 years old, he is studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, and in his free time he demonstrates his knowledge of spray-art to the citizens of Zenica at the Square of Alija Izetbegovic.
The spray art is a unique art which can be found in major world capitals. The most common image in the spray art technique consists of unusual shapes, planets, landscapes, comets, pyramids, cities and the like.
“From the early age, for 15 years certainly, I have been painting and drawing. I saw this on the internet and instantly fell in love. I wasn’t so good when I discovered spray art, but the results are visible after three years of work“, said Belmin.
Not a lot of tools is needed for the spray art. It is traditionally being made on cardboard, but other solid materials such as wood, metal, plastics, ceramics or glass might be used as well.
“Not many special tools are necessary, I am using brushes, paper, spray, spatula, and sometimes the lid of the paint“, Becic said.
A price of one painting is 10 BAM, but due to difficult economic situation there are not many customers. One of Belmin’s fellow citizens bought two paintings.
“What he does is truly beautiful. Certainly not a lot of people know how to do it and it would be nice if it was more appreciated“, she said.
