feđa štukan (1)The B&H actor and activist Feđa Štukan sent a call to citizens through his Facebook profile to hold protests on 4 September on occasion of the arrival of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Sarajevo.

‘’On 4 September, representatives of the IMF will come to Sarajevo, who will present to the public a false assessment of positive economic developments that were allegedly made by the authorities of B&H, in order to approve for us a loan for new credit of which every euro would end up in the pockets of politicians. We will allow them to come, and then we will block everything. Airports, intersections, roads, everything’’, said Štukan.

‘’I will not stand by and watch as we enter a more serious economic crisis, and how my children and grandchildren are returning money from which the government used to buy themselves, cars, expensive clothes, travel expenses, employ their family and friends, and pay for their dirty nationalist pre-election campaigns. I will not allow it!!!’, he said.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo Irfan Nefić confirmed for Agency Anadolija that he heard about Štukan’s calls, but that the police has not received any notice of a protest, especially not for a massive one.

As part of the fourth review of the Stand-by Arrangement, the IMF Mission will visit Sarajevo and Banja Luka from 4-19 September, and it is expected that around 48,1 million euros will be available with the conclusion of the fourth review.
