The Council of Ministers has adopted a report on the activities on realization of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of B&H and the Croatian Government, of a construction of an interstate bridge over the Sava near Svilaji, and access border sections on highway of corridor V-C.
The Ministry of Communications and Transport of B&H will start soon with the activities on the construction of the bridge, and according to the signed agreement, and will appoint the members from B&H in a joint commission for the implementation of a new procurement process for the election of the most favorable contractor for the bridge construction.
The procurement procedure of the election of the most favorable contractor will be conducted according to the request of banks that are requiring the application of rules of EU for the implementation of the public procurement procedure, which in this case application of regulations of Croatia, which is the member of the European Union.
B&H has assured its funds for the construction of the bridge from the budget, while the Republic of Croatia is planning to provide loan funds from the EIB in order to provide its financial stake in the process of construction of the bridge. Works on the construction of access roads to the bridge on both sides (B&H and Croatia) are in progress at the moment and both sides have resolved all issues regarding property rights, which are a precondition for the start of activities for bridge construction.
