A professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Salih Teskeredzic, is the winner of the most prestigious world award for product design, Red Dot 2015.

Professor Teskeredzic won this internationally famous award for two products: the design of a chair and a bed Fawn designed for the BH brand Gazzda.

The international jury which consisted of 38 members declared these two products of professor Teskeredzic as winners in one of the most important competitions for product design, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

International experts discussed and evaluated each of the 4.923 applications from 56 countries, but only products that delighted the jury with quality and innovation, got an award.

The fawn chair and bed later convinced the jury and were awarded with the winning award Red Dot 2015, as announced from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.

“The clean lines and modern colors of the Fawn chair show great sophistication, and the design of a chair was designed to the last detail”, said jury on the occasion of the award ceremony for the design of a chair.

For the second awarded work-design for a bed, the jury stated following: “The unusual design that is characterized by a delicate structure gives the Fawn bed an elegant look“.

bedA bed represents a sovereign shape of lightness and mobility. It is completely opposite to today’s massive, heavy beds made from large amounts of wood. The bed uses minimal material consumption, and is characterized by the identical layout of the sides that are easy to assemble and give a unique graphical form to a bed.
