bruno_bojic1_171111B&H sees a great potential in organic production since a great deal of importance is being given today in Europe and in the world to not genetically modified products. – stated today in Sarajevo the President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H Bruno Bojić.

Before the beginning of the two days lasting educative training in the sector of organic production destined to producers of the cross-border area Serbia-B&H and within the “Eno-Agri” program financed by the EU with 390 000 Euros through IPA program of the cross-border cooperation, Bojić pointed out that the organic production has considerably uplifted and improved the quantity and quality of products.

He emphasized that the purpose of this kind of trainings is for the important producers to meet the advantages of organic production compared to other systems of production.

“The services provided by trained experts will enrich our producers with basic guidelines and information about how to empower the capacities of the organic production sector, how to tactically transform already existing farms into organic ones as well as how to promote new organic products and to create a regional brand.” – said Bojić.

According to his words, the main goal of the “Eno-Agri” project is to improve competitiveness of the cross-border rural area of B&H and Serbia through amelioration of the agriculture and building capacities in this sector.

The President of the Organic association producers of B&H /FB&H/ Sejad Herceg pointed out that there is around 92 producers of organic products in FB&H and added that this number was bigger earlier before when the state invested more into it.

He also said that there is no law on organic production which represents a big problem to producers.

One other thing Bojić mentioned is also a net of organic producers in South-eastern Europe which was formed in Berlin and through which the organic products will be placed in EU.

“Our goal is to help agricultural producers to master the disciplines of organic production since B&H has great potential in this sector.”

The educative training was organized by the Federation of organic production associations in cooperation with the Foreign trade chamber of B&H.
