B&H to Receive 5 Million Dollars for Mitigation of Climate Changes

klima_shutterAt the UN conference on climate changes (UNFCCC COP19) held in Warsaw, Poland it was agreed that B&H shall receive 5 million dollars for projects on mitigation and adaption of climate changes.

The World Fund for Environmental Protection finances this initiative and funds for B&H should be operational next year, announced the Ministry of Planning, Construction and Ecology of RS.

B&H is one of the countries that fulfills all the obligations under the convention of climate changes in terms of reporting and participation in the conference and B&H has shown that it wants an active role in the fight against climate changes.

The Ministry of planning, construction and ecology of RS is responsible on behalf of B&H for the implementation of the Convention. The plan is to allocate 100 billion dollars annually to mitigate climate changes in the world until 2020.
