Director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirko Kuprešaković, welcomed today the Director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the US Embassy, Aron Rupert, and his associate, Alija Kulić. They discussed security matters, cross-border crime, and the challenges that members of the border police of Bosnia and Herzegovina face daily, said BP BiH.

Kuprešaković emphasized that the members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina are putting in maximum effort, using all available material-technical and human resources to protect the border, and thanked the US Embassy for its cooperation and long-standing support for the work and development of this law enforcement agency.

He especially highlighted the training organized for members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where police officers acquire new knowledge and skills, exchange experience, and get the opportunity to learn from top experts.

Rupert emphasized that the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs at the US Embassy is open to further strengthening cooperation on concrete projects and initiatives that contribute to a more efficient response to security challenges, including combating smuggling, human trafficking, and irregular migration, the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.

The meeting concluded with mutual belief that the cooperation will further intensify through future joint activities.
