BiH Citizens Boycott Gas Stations during the Weekend

After the price of fuel jumped sharply in the last few months, a boycott of all gas stations was announced on social networks from June 25 to 26.

“As the price of oil on the world market falls ($ 106, June 22), fuel prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina are rising (3.54),” reads a call circulating on social media.

It is not known who is behind the mentioned initiative.

The Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Dzindic, stated at the beginning of this month, when a liter of fuel cost 3.30 BAM, that this was the lowest price in the region.

According to world media, the price of international crude oil fell due to fears of the possibility of a recession in the world economy.

“Oil prices fell about three percent on Wednesday as investors worried that rising Federal Reserve interest rates could push the U.S. economy into recession, cutting fuel demand,” Reuters reported.

This is exactly what frustrates the citizens of BiH, that is, they are interested in why prices in BiH do not follow those in the world, Klix.ba writes.
