The Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Minister of Defense Zukan Helez is leading the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which participated today in the opening of the Global Military Exhibition in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This is one of the most important international events in the field of defense and security, which brings together the most important global actors from the military industry, technology and strategic planning.
By visiting this fair, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH follow modern trends in the development of weapons and military equipment and, accordingly, consider directions for strengthening BiH’s own operational capacities and interoperability with partner countries and NATO structures.
“The participation of the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in such an event is of particular importance for the process of modernization of the Armed Forces of BiH and their further harmonization with modern standards of collective security. I also used my stay at the fair for a series of meetings on the sidelines of the event with the most important representatives of the ministries of defense and armed forces of partner and friendly countries, as well as representatives of the world’s leading military industries. These talks contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation, the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of partnership and friendly relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a special focus on supporting Euro-Atlantic integration and joint efforts to preserve peace and stability,” Minister Helez said on that occasion.
After today’s opening of the Fair, in the continuation of his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Minister Helez expects intense diplomatic activity. It starts already tomorrow, with meetings with representatives of the defense system of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as other international representatives in the field of defense and security.
The delegation of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Minister Zukan Helez, includes the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Nermin Nikšić, the Minister of Energy of the FBiH Vedran Lakić and the Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees of the FBiH Nerin Dizdar, with colleagues, it was announced from the Public Relations Office of the MoD of BiH.
