BiH Film Festival (BHFF) will be held from 9 to 11 May in cinema ”Tribeca” in New York, reports FENA.
The board of BHFF will choose films from different categories, such as documentaries, feature films, short films and cartoons.
The public tender will be closed on 15 March.
The festival wants to present the films of BiH directors as well as films of non-BiH directors that deal with BiH.
Films that do reach the official selection will enter the competition for awards of jury and the audience.
The jury consists of Croatian director Goran Rušinović, film writer Bill Carter and writer Sara Terry.
BHFF celebrates its ten years of showing the best BIH films in New York. It is organised by two non-profit organisations in New York- Radio ”Glas Bosne i Hercegovine” and the Academy of BIH.
BHFF has the reputation as a serious cultural event that serves as a platform for the promotion of young film talents and internationally acclaimed film artists.
Since its founding in 2003, BHFF was visited by several thousand people who had the chance to see more than 100 feature, short, documentary and animated films, said BHFF.
