The Presidency of the People and Justice (NiP) expressed solidarity with the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria at its session, welcomed the quick formation of the BiH Council of Ministers, and called for the rapid adoption of a set of laws important for BiH’s European path.

“We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims in Turkey and Syria and to all the victims of the devastating earthquake. We welcome the activities so far and call on all elected and appointed personnel of the People and Justice at all levels of government to make maximum efforts within their competences in helping these countries and supporting them in remediating the consequences,” it is stated in the conclusions.

People and Justice congratulates the timely appointment of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and considers it a good message for the stabilization of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a prerequisite for its progress on the way to membership in the European Union and NATO. They express satisfaction with the appointment of the President of People and Justice, Elmedin Konaković, as Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH and with the first activities and steps taken in this area.

They point out the importance and necessity of adopting a set of laws that are key to the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible, among others the Draft Law on Preventing the Conflict of Interest in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the HJPC.

The People and Justice Party supports representatives of the Troika coalition in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in submitting a request for the review of constitutionality of the RS Law on Immovable Property before the Constitutional Court of BiH.
