BiH Foreign Minister met with the Prime Minister of Montenegro

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović today, during his official visit to Montenegro.

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović congratulated Minister Konaković on his assumption of office and the rapid formation of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that Montenegro is a sincere friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that Montenegro’s focus is on developing numerous opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

He pointed out that the bilateral relations between BiH and Montenegro can serve as an example of successful cooperation and that Montenegro fully respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH and supports the European agenda of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Konaković thanked for the hospitality and said that this is an opportunity to discuss some important topics and high-quality joint projects, which will be discussed more in the coming period.

He pointed out that political stability in the Balkans is a prerequisite for further mutual development and that visits to neighboring countries show a clear commitment.

They emphasized that a good-neighbor policy that promotes universal values is imperative for both countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
