Bosnia and Herzegovina has been approved the export of beef to the United Arab Emirates, confirmed the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Stasa Kosarac.

“The efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and the Veterinary Office of BiH so far have borne fruit and resulted in a positive outcome for the domestic agricultural sector. The opening of a new market means a new chance for the development and improvement of both primary production and processing capacities,” said Minister.

He mentioned that the export of beef from BiH to the United Arab Emirates was approved after the veterinary and health certificates were harmonized between the two countries, and the economic entities from BiH were approved for export by the competent institutions from the United Arab Emirates.

“I want to emphasize that we are in the final phase of harmonization of veterinary and health certificates with Israel, so we expect the opening of this market for our producers soon. Our priority is the European market with 500 million potential consumers, but also the markets of Russia, China, Malaysia, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, especially when it comes to the export of red meat and poultry, fish, milk and dairy products,” said Minister Kosarac.
