BIT camp demo dayFortune favors those who work hard. Participants of the first generation of the BIT Camp proved it at the BIT Camp Demo Day held on Monday, 27th April, by presenting results of their intensive several months work to their future employers, that is companies members of the BIT Alliance (Atlantbh, Authority Partners, DevLogic, GreenRiverMedia, PING, ZIRA).

Four team projects that were presented, involved the implementation of the web application, web service and Android application, and represent replicas of famous applications in the field of online shopping as well. Accordingly, applications were entitled: bitBay, bitCoupon, bitPik and njam.ba.

“We remind that six months ago, we didn’t know how to write a single line of a code, and now our web application compete with one of best portals in our country. Additional task was to make a replica, but we have gone a step further and added additional functionalities that the original page does not have“, said participant of the BIT Camp, Sanela Grcic.

Looking back at applications they developed, participants state that learning, hard work, positive energy and optimism paid off, and what they proudly presented in front of the expert audience is the mirror of their hard work, enthusiasm and every day acquiring knowledge during the previous six months.

Representatives of members of the BIT Alliance had an opportunity to ask each team questions that were related to the architecture of the application, specific technical solutions, graphic interface, to issues of the security of application.
BIT Camp is being realized with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and in the cooperation with the project MarketMakers supported by the Swiss Government and the International University of Sarajevo.
