Gas PipelineMinister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic, announced at Dubrovnik Forum that BiH is interested in the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian gas pipeline, which would allow it the supply of gas.

Sarovic emphasized that this would improve the competitiveness and security of supply of this source of energy, as announced from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.

He expressed expectation that the main route of the new pipeline will partly pass through BiH, at least in Neum hinterland.

Sarovic emphasized the importance of regional approach and utilization of the hydropower potentials of rivers Drina and Trebisnjica.

He said that the project of the Hydroelectric Power Plant Dubrovnik could very quickly begin to be implemented in cooperation between BiH and Croatia.

At the Dubrovnik Forum, Minister Sarovic talked about the topic “The benefits of regional energy cooperation” within the panel “The strengthening of energy security of the EU”.
