The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Draft Law on Internal Trade, which introduces a non-working Sunday in shops in the FBiH.
The bill was adopted with 55 votes “for”, 1 “against”, while there were three abstentions.
The law will enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette of the FBiH, and traders are obliged to harmonize their work and operations in accordance with the law within six months from the date of entry into force of the law.
Although the Law on Internal Trade regulates several other issues, the public’s attention has long been absolutely focused on the non-working day on Sundays for trade workers, so much so that it has acquired the generally accepted, albeit unofficial, name of the ‘working Sunday law’.
