Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković spoke today with the delegations of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Executive Directors Kohen Davidse and Paul Hilbers, ahead of a two-day session of the Constituent Assembly in Sarajevo.
The collocutors stressed the extraordinary importance of the meeting that starts tomorrow, which will be attended by a large number of high-ranking officials of the member states of our Constituency in the World Bank and the IMF.
The minister, also in her capacity as the governor of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Bank, welcomed Davidse and Hilbers.
“We will have the opportunity to talk with key people, ministers of finance and governors, about the great economic and financial challenges we all face, especially the energy crisis, inflation, food shortages and other consequences of geopolitical events. Sarajevo will host the meeting at a very important moment. Of course, there will also be talk about Bosnia and Herzegovina and cooperation with international financial institutions for the last 30 years and their contribution to the reconstruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Minister Turković after the meeting.
They also discussed the improvement of relations and projects that are being implemented, in light of the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
The meeting was also attended by Jelka Milićević, Minister of Finance in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
