The members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić, Denis Bećirović and Željka Cvijanović met today with the Assistant Secretary of State of the United States of America for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien, who is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Earlier, Assistant Secretary of State O’Brien met with High Representative Christian Schmidt, and they discussed the most pressing challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, including electoral integrity.
“The Assistant Secretary confirmed the strong support of the United States High Representative and his use of Bonn powers for the implementation and defense of the Dayton Peace Agreement, support for BiH and its institutions, as well as ensuring the functionality of those institutions, and suppressing inflammatory rhetoric and actions aimed at undermining both” .
